Local govt election disrupted in Offa local govt, kwara state

The Local government elections held today was disrupted in Offa local government of kwara state. Recall that The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Offa Local Government Council Area of Kwara State chapter had last week accused the state Governor Bukola Saraki and the state’s Independent Electoral Commission of plans to rig the October 30, 2010 local government council elections.

iboriIn an early morning judgement Sunday, 17 October 2010, a Dubai Court of Appeal has granted the request from Britain , supported by Nigeria, that the former Goverenor of Delta state, Mr. James Onanefe Ibori be extradited to Britain for trial.

Elombah.com gathered that in a two to one split decision, the court held that Britain has shown enough reason to tie Ibori to the commission of a crime to warrant his extradition to London.
