Hon Rotimi Sotomiwa who represented Ikorodu Cinstituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly died overnight after an illness. Hon. Sotomiwa, a former teacher, a councilor/politician, a musician, a community leader, an administrator and a legislator, was elected in 2007 to represent Ikorodu Constituency II at the

 Lagos House of Assembly on the platform of the Action Congress. His constituency comprises three Local Council Development Areas namely Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Ijede LCDA and Imota LCDA.
