From Yobe State Comes a Report that Emir of Fika Who doubles as Chairman Of Yobe State Council Of Chief, Mohammed Abali Ibn Idrissa today Escaped death from a suicide bombers attempt On His Life After the Jummat Prayers at the Central Mosque Potiskum.
The suicide bomber who was said to be heading towards the Emir but was prevented by his guard later brought out a gun to pull the trigger, but luck ran out of him as a bomb vest on his body exploded.
About 3 people have been confirmed injured at the time of filling this report
Yobe state is in northeastern Nigeria where suspected members of the radical Islamist sect, Boko Haram on Monday attacked three police targets in the capital city of Damaturu last month.
The Yobe state government had recently announced the relaxation of a dusk-to-dawn curfew.
Such clashes have been on the rise since the sect carried out a series of deadly attacks in the city last month.
Boko Haram is held responsible for more than 630 deaths this year alone according to official reports.
