Who kept the president waiting?
Is that VP Sambo?
PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan, state governors, chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other top government officials received a rude shock in the ancient city of Benin on Saturday when the Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba Erediauwa, declined to receive the president who was visiting his palace.
"Uneasy lies the head that wears the Crown, they say. The President asked for this job and the Mandate of all Nigerians. And it was granted him substantially in 2011. He should take the bulls by the horns. To deliver, he must not abdicate if he has the right guys around him to move forward. It would still be tough because the decadence predates him or too hot to handle. But it must be cleaned by someone. If President GEJ determines to roll the sleeves, may be years from now, Nigerians will look back and see his actions as the best that may have happened to that Country. It will be rough and tough whether he admits it or not. Putting hands for jaw will do nothing and produce nothing. This is because this job was not forced on GEJ. He wanted it badly. Therefore, it was premeditated. For me, there should be no excuses on the state of the affairs of the Country for doing less because it takes the brave to save the broken people. We are all broken in Nigeria. I hope GEJ gets this fact." - ..............Ralph Nwokike
