Explosion rocks People's Club Hotel Bauchi

An improvised explosive device (IED) planted in the Bayan Garin area of Bauchi, went-off this evening causing serious pandemonium in the town. The device suspected to be a bomb caused extensive damage at People's Club Hotel, Bayan Gari, Bauchi. The extent of damage done by the ugly occurrence remain unclear as at press
time, but residents have confirmed that the area have been taken over by the military.
Bayan Garin is an area where numerous bars, restaurants and other relaxation joints are mainly found, with a large Christian population.
