One has to, by virtue of his achievement, give credit to a three times senator and a two-times governor, Alh. Dr. Ali Modu Sheriff, who for the record first time remained unseated on the seat of Borno state's governorship for the constituted two terms. His political reach defied many stones thrown at him to dethrone him. And now succeeded in securing the seat for his choice, Alh. Kashim Shettima, who will be sworn into office 29 May.

Horrific and horrendous, is the news emanating from inside Libya, waters around Libya and on the Mediterranean Sea! The North Atlantic Treaty Organization with absolute military command, control and occupation of the area, continues to ignore and neglect the dire humanitarian disaster in and around Libya and its environs. Humanitarian catastrophes and disasters are occurring under the nose
